A compact and fully automatic unit with a stainless steel pressure vessel. 6 to 18kW/h Operating pressure: max. 3bar, very high steam volume

The electric steam generators type NDD are electrically heated boilers and comply with Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC from 29 May 2002. Their operation does not require supervision or permission. This means: no downtimes and no costs for regular checks by the technical inspection authorities (TÜV) which are otherwise obligatory.

Fields of application

  • Dry-cleaning
  • Clothing manufacturers
  • Alteration tailors
  • Air conditioning
  • Air moistening
  • Cosmetics production
  • Pharmaceutical industry

Operating principle

Softened and demineralised water is filled into the pressure vessel of the boiler through a funnel or directly from the connected line. The electronic water level control regulates the water level inside the pressure vessel by means of level electrodes, as well as the activation of the heating and protects the heating elements against damage due to malfunctions (low water level protection).

The electric heating element heats and vaporises the water in the pressure vessel. The vapour pressure is indicated by the manometer. The pressure control device switches the heating off, when the maximum operating pressure of 300kPa (3bar) is reached and switches it back on when the value drops below 250kPA (2.5bar). The vapour is extracted through the steam supply valve.
