Boiler

type “Dampfboy”

This small, space-saving unit is equipped with a stainless steel pressure vessel. Dimensions: 380 x 380 x 600mm, weight: c. 20kg, heating: 2 to 6kW/h, steam output: 2 to 8kg/h

The electric steam generators type "Dampfboy" are electrically heated boilers and comply with Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC from 29 May 2002. Their operation does not require supervision or permission. This means: no downtimes and no costs for regular checks by the technical inspection authorities (TÜV) which are otherwise obligatory.

Fields of application

  • Dry-cleaning
  • Clothing manufacturers
  • Alteration tailors
  • Air conditioning
  • Air moistening
  • Cosmetics production
  • Pharmaceutical industry

Operating principle

Softened water is automatically filled into the pressure vessel of the boiler through the water inflow valve (water solenoid valve) from the water line. The electronic water level control regulates the water level inside the steam boiler by means of a float switch or level electrodes 3), as well as the activation of the heating and protects the heating elements against damage due to malfunctions (low water level protection). The electric heating elements 4) heat and vaporise the water. The vapour pressure is indicated by the manometer. The pressure control device (pressure switch) switches the heating off, when a boiler pressure of 400kPa (4bar) is reached and switches it back on at 300kPa (3bar).

The vapour is extracted through the steam supply valve. Extraction can be carried out by operating the integrated illuminated switch "Steam" ("Dampf") and/or over a remote switch to be installed on site (terminals for remote switch are xxx).

When a remote switch is used, the cable of the switch must be connected to the terminals in the switch box according to the manual/instructions.
